Happy New Year, everyone! It has been a long time since my last post and a lot happened since then. I can’t really talk about it, but you might be able to figure it out, if you read certain posts on this blog. With the new year still so fresh and one’s motivation still high, and one’s optimism even greater (hopefully), I thought might as well post some of my old writings to dip to proverbial toe into the waters that is the adventure and excitement of writing and publishing blog posts. Hi everyone, according to my Goodreads book reviews count, I surpassed the 100 mark 10 days ago. This calls for celebration! I started reviewing books on Goodreads in late December 2013 and I cannot believe how much fun it has been thus far. Unfortunately, I have been quite behind in writing and posting my book reviews regularly, but I will follow up this post by publishing six new reviews and I am in the middle of locating a piece of fiction I wrote a few years ago that I would love to share. A heartfelt thank you for taking the time to read my reviews and my little creations.

Hello again! I haven’t quite decided how often I will post works to the Creative Corner, since it depends how dedicated I can be during the holiday season. The book reviews do not pose this dilemma, because it is a bit easier to give one’s two cents worth to something someone else has written than to actually sit down and come up with a piece of fiction one feels worthy of posting. Speaking of the holiday season, I have been tempted for the past two weeks to update my Facebook status to read “It’s the Christmas shopping season, so let’s all act like dicks”. Welcome to my blog. This has been in the making for over a year and I finally feel confident enough to post and publish reviews and creative pieces.
