Zeit ist Geld by Walt Disney Company
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I went through my mom’s old comics during my latest visit to her and decided to take some of the volumes back home with me. Among them was this one, which I had overlooked during previous perusals through her comic collection.
I remember reading it on many occasions when I was little. It is a fast read and I noticed something peculiar about the way these stories were constructed.
The individual stories seemed short. They were of regular page length, but the amount of plot detail and world building were kept to a minimum. There wasn’t much depth to the stories.
There are two very long Mickey Mouse stories, which seems odd for a volume that isn’t much longer than 200 pages.
I was; however, really excited to read the first Donald Duck comic strips ever published, which were included as a bonus in this volume.
Overall, I checked the publication date of this volume and was amused to find it to be 1997. It feels so long ago, yet no time has passed much at all. It was a lovely nostalgic trip down memory lane while I soaked in the tub last night.
