New Moon

New Moon (Twilight, #2)New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

To be quite honest, I enjoyed this second installment a lot more than Twilight, maybe because there weren’t too many possibilities for mentioning an unhealthy/abusive relationship.
But on the other hand, Bella became more reckless and blinded by something that should have been left in the past.
I assume this installment would also be the commencement of the “Team Edward”-“Team Jacob” divide, which is fun to follow, even though I know how it ends. Part of me wants Bella to get some type of retribution for toying with her supposed “best friend” as much as she does.
Now we have less sparkling vampires and more werewolves and a whole mix of little references to myths and folk tales.
I read most of this story in only a handful of days and must admit I need a break from it in order to focus on other readings and take a breather from the intense teenage angst I have been reading about for almost 1000 pages.
